Home knowledge and school knowledge

In Togo, there is something called ‘ahome nunya’ which translates into home knowledge. Ahome Nunya is considered as the basic package of knowledge any kid should get from home, either from her parents or her tribe.

Any kid who failed to get that basic package of knowledge is considered an outcast.

Kids who lack that set of know-how and behaviors are insulted in two ways:

1. ‘Djimakpla’ which means a kid with irresponsible or foolish parents who failed to transmit the home knowledge. That insult targets the parents
2. ‘Kplamasse’ which means a kid who failed to listen to her parents and is displaying a lack of home knowledge. The insult targets the disobedient and maladjusted kid.

The home knowledge package here consists of know-how and behaviors like:
– how to behave in group
– How to talk to adults and behave in front of authority
– How to hunt or fish
– How to cook
– Hygiene and house keeping
– How to behave with girls or boys
– Body language
– How to speak harmoniously
– …

Often home knowledge is contrasted with what is called school knowledge or outside knowledge.

School knowledge is related to professional skills, industry knowledge, encyclopedic knowledge, etc.… Read more

European caste system

Don’t call it racism. Call it European caste system. Like in India.

There is nothing scientific about race.

If race was a uniting factor, Europeans shouldn’t be slaughtering each other in the millions every other generation.

What most don’t know is that Europeans have killed each other more than they have killed any other populations.

If race would be uniting factor, Africans won’t be killing each in the millions and the African Americans won’t be killing each other that much.

If race was a uniting factor Arabs won’t be killing each other so much, praying the same God inside the same religion.

If race was a uniting factor Chinese won’t have killed each other so much during the cultural revolution.

We need to stop the illusion of a skin color or race uniting Africans. It won’t happen but would deserve us.

People respond to better incentives than race or skin color. We need new ways of directing our efforts.

Tribalism is dead, long live Tribalism

The invention of the tribe called ‘white people’ had helped Europeans unite globally beyond their previous tribal affiliations.

Another successful invention of a new tribe is the one called ‘middle class’. It happens when people inside an economical group have more in common to defend than their affiliation to a traditional tribe.

Economical tribes come on top of the traditional tribes.

Tony Blair, the British war criminal, is adviser to my country government. The main pillar of his advisory work is to make PowerPoint presentation showing the growth of a middle class as the main tool for long term prosperity and faster economical development.

The main recommendation is a quote from Deng Xiaoping ‘getting rich is good’. The government therefore should help the emergence of a middle-class by letting people get rich without looking too closely.

Now, if you are Togolese, the best time to cook the system to become rich is now. The state wants you to become rich.

According to liberal theories, a modern economy needs a social class more loyal to making money, than loyal to a place of birth, a country, a tribe or nation. A universal tribe united by money!

Economical tribes are the new social construct, liberals are pushing in our countries as substitution to traditional affiliations.… Read more

Protesting is dead

According to a Hebrew fairytale, an out of wedlock boy, refused to learn carpentry with his foster father, and started walking the street with a few dusty hustlers saying he was the son of God and he came to save the world.

The conservative elite warned him against corrupting the youth with his on drug message of being the son of god and fake performance of miracles.

Called upon the king, he disrespected the court and got crucified. Most his accomplices were later found and executed similarly.

That was almost 2000 years ago. And nothing had really changed until now.

Protesters will always lose to people they are protesting. Their victory may come but usually temporarily, the time for the conservatives to find ways to circumvent them or swallow them.

From the 99% Main Street movements, to the black lives matter; from the yellow vest in France to the metoo global movement; from Tiananmen Square to Arab springs, we got the feeling that protesting is dead as a way to obtain reform or change .

The modern state apparatus powered by technology and advanced mobs control tools, has now the upper hand against disruptive social movements.

From pervasive surveillance, to inaudible repulsive sound, and pepper shower, modern states reached a stage where they are unassailable by shouting mobs or Facebook posts.… Read more

The rational mind and sleeplessness crisis

The most invisible symptom of modernity is sleepless nights.

More and more people are losing their sleep. Even here in Africa, the sleeping continent.

Some sleep only for a few hours a night. Some only one or two hours. Some sleep only until 2am and then nothing.

There are lot of studies on the global sleep crisis. But most ignore the biggest culprit: rationality or modernity.

People who heavily rely on reason to manage their life are doomed to lose their sleep.

The biggest flaw of a rational mind is the will to be in control and to have everything under control, imposing time constraints on everything.

Unfortunately, the rationality mind is very limited in its ability to do so, and goes into overheating, leading to headaches and sleepless night, and fragmented memory.

Unlike her twin sister, global warming, the global sleeplessness crisis is receiving less attention and suffering is very private affecting the quality of life of billions and destroying couples.

If you are having sleepless nights, you are not alone. Every other person in your city is having sleepless night too. It’s a pandemic.

There are drugs to help but they only work for some time. Because, Sleeplessness is a lifestyle disease.… Read more

Good People, Bad People

How to know if you are a good person?

Good people have to remind to themselves that they shouldn’t forget themselves.

Their internal monologue goes like this ‘think about yourself, think about your family…’.

Selfish and bad people monologue is very much different. It goes like this ‘I should think a bit about others. I shouldn’t think only about myself…’.

What kind of monologue do you have with yourself?

The world needs both good people and bad people.

In the training of evangelical pastors, they are often advised not to wish for the death of satan, because satan is part of the business plan. Without satan the whole church would disappear. They kick him, crush him, insult him, but it’s forbidden to kill him, because good and bad are the two faces of the same coin, and none has absolute value.

May you embrasse your evil side like you wish to become a good person.

Rules for Men

Don’t speak while standing. Or very little.

A wise man don’t do business while standing.

A man don’t talk to his children, his wife while standing.

Don’t stand up when you are angry, upset, or restless.

Speak only with your eyes when standing.

Do your talk only while sitting.

Following this simple rule will bring peace into your life.

(not sure you’d understand, if you are not from a royal lineage).

Illusion of knowledge

There is public knowledge and there is private knowledge. Very much as there is public wealth and there is private wealth.

In a world where private wealth surpasses by folds public wealth, one must deduct that private knowledge is far superior and surpasses by more folds public knowledge.

The best knowledge warehouses are private, guarded by hundreds of men with guns in addition to access codes and physical barriers.

For exemple, I have some knowledge I’d never put in public because they are private assets.

Furthermore, a lot of knowledge is generated through interaction between knowledgeable people. Interaction fertilizes and fructifies knowledge.

People learning mainly through books are behind those who learn through interaction with others.

If you have no way to access private knowledge (knowledge locked behind heavy doors), public knowledge might give hints about how much knowledge is out there, but you are having an illusion of knowledge. You still have active interaction with knowledgeable people to access private knowledge.

Public knowledge like public wealth is very limited. Oh Shit, most states are in debt to the private sector!

Ancestors… ancestors …

Our ancestors were defeated and humiliated.

We are the consequences of their defeat, their weakness, and their failure to defend the continent.

Why all the praise and prayers to them?

Bla-bla-bla, they fought, they did their best. But let’s recognize at the end of the day that they lost and our lands were conquered, and our inferior status in the world is in part because of their defeat.

From that acknowledgment, we could move forward and ask the question what should we do ?

We should spend time and resources to examine thoroughly the following five points:

1. Why our ancestors during the last 2000 years lost all their wars against their adversaries?
2. Are 2000 years of repeated defeat a sign of an inherent inferiority, or caused by other things under our control?
3. What were the strategies and tactics used to beat our ancestors and now us, their descendants?
4. What are the cases studies to illustrate the usage of winning strategies against us, and how did we fail to see through and failed
5. What are the things, others populations which found themselves in similar situations did to revert their fate?

Without spending enough resources to understand why and how our ancestors failed , and why and how we as their descendants are still failing, most of our liberation wishes are doomed and the African race would be failing for the next 1000 years.… Read more

Power respects only power

During slavery, there were lot of people protesting. Regardless of their protests, slavery of Africans lasted over 300 years.

During colonisation, there were lot of people protesting it. Regardless of their protests, African direct colonisation lasted 200 years, and still is going.

Why did those protests fail?

Powerless people making moral noises and calling to ethical values had never stopped people in power to do what they have to do in their interests.

Power respects only power.

Get a life, and stop itching people ears with your powerless declaration. Pity seeking, victim porn, and fist in the air are for noise makers.

Seek power by all means possible then you’d be listened to, preferably feared in the first place.
