Innovate47 Launches Global Food & Agri Accelerator to Combat Climate Change

Innovate47, a global leader in venture building and entrepreneurial support, has announced the launch of a new Food & Agri Accelerator program. This initiative aims to empower founders to revolutionize food systems and build resilience against the increasing challenges posed by climate change, particularly in vulnerable regions.

# Fueling Agri-Tech Innovation in Africa and the Global South

The intensive eight-week program is designed to support promising early-stage startups across Africa and the Global South. Participants will benefit from personalized mentorship, valuable connections with investors, and strategic pathways to achieve scalable growth. The accelerator is actively seeking applications from entrepreneurs addressing critical issues such as regenerative agriculture practices, innovative agri-fintech solutions, and enhanced food security measures. Agriculture is a key sector in Africa, contributing almost a quarter of Sub-Saharan Africa’s GDP, but is exposed to climate change impacts. Agri-tech ventures are stepping up with solutions and received over $640 million in funding in 2022, indicating the potential for innovation in this space. This accelerator will further fuel the sector.

With applications now open, Innovate47’s Food & Agri Accelerator represents a significant opportunity for entrepreneurs to develop and scale innovative solutions, addressing the urgent need for climate-resilient and sustainable food systems globally. The program is poised to accelerate the growth of impactful ventures and contribute to a more secure and sustainable future for food production.
