Tunisian Post Office Simplifies School Enrollment with Digital Wallets

In a significant step towards digitizing public services, La Poste Tunisienne announced on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, that parents and students can now remotely pay school registration fees for the 2025-2026 academic year using the “Wallets e-Dinar” digital wallets. This initiative, leveraging technology for improved access, highlights the growing adoption of digital solutions within the African education sector.

Streamlined Payments with e-Dinar Wallets

The “Wallets e-Dinar” digital wallets, available free of charge at all La Poste Tunisienne branches, offer a secure and user-friendly payment solution. These wallets are valid for ten years and can be loaded with up to 3,000 Tunisian Dinars. A crucial aspect of this service is that no additional fees are applied when paying school enrollment fees through this method. This makes it a cost-effective option, particularly beneficial for families managing educational expenses. Furthermore, the ease of use and accessibility of these digital wallets are key in promoting financial inclusion across Tunisia, fitting into the rising trend of FinTech advancements in Africa. Parents and students can also leverage the D17 mobile application, linking it to their “Wallets e-Dinar” or to various electronic payment cards offered by La Poste Tunisienne, further streamlining the registration process via the different e-payment options.

In addition to this, the Ministry of Education website (www.inscription.education.tn) offers the direct option of completing the entire registration process online.

In conclusion, La Poste Tunisienne’s move to integrate digital payment solutions for school enrollment fees signifies a positive shift towards modernizing public services in Tunisia. This initiative not only simplifies the payment process but also promotes financial inclusion and leverages technology to improve the educational experience for all.
