Technology News: Dubai

The vibrant technology landscape of the UAE continues to make global waves, with homegrown innovators like Yango Group charting ambitious expansion plans that ripple across continents. In a significant development for the African tech scene, the UAE-based and industry-agnostic tech company, Yango Group, has officially inaugurated its new regional office for Africa. This strategic move, disclosed in a recent statement to Technext, underscores the group’s deepening commitment to the continent and its burgeoning digital economy.

Yango Group’s Strategic African Expansion

Located in Abidjan, the Ivorian city where Yango Group initially marked its entry into Nigeria, the new regional hub marks a pivotal chapter for the company, seven years after its inception in 2018. This office is designed to serve as the central coordination point for Yango’s rapidly expanding operations across the African continent. With an impressive existing workforce of approximately 200 employees already on the ground, the company has ambitious plans to significantly scale its local capabilities and talent pool in the forthcoming year. Daniil Shuleyko, the CEO of Yango Group, articulated the strategic vision behind this expansion. He emphasized that the company’s core philosophy revolves around empowering nations from within, positioning the Abidjan office as an indispensable component of their broader continental growth strategy. Shuleyko stated, “This new regional office in Abidjan is a new chapter in our journey across Africa. Our strategy is to build digital ecosyst.” This commitment highlights Yango Group’s long-term investment in fostering robust digital ecosystems and sustainable development across Africa.

This move by a prominent UAE-based tech entity like Yango Group not only signifies its strategic growth but also reflects the broader trend of global tech companies recognizing and investing in Africa’s immense potential. By establishing a dedicated regional office, Yango Group is poised to enhance its localized services and continue its trajectory of innovation, reinforcing its presence and impact across the diverse markets of the continent.
