Algerian Importers Urged to Update Status for Goods Destined for Resale

The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion has issued a notice urging economic operators involved in the importation of goods and merchandise for resale in their current state to update their records. The announcement specifically targets those whose goods are currently held at Algerian ports and who have yet to complete bank domiciliation or customs clearance procedures. This initiative aims to streamline trade operations and ensure compliance with import regulations within the Algerian market. This is crucial for facilitating trade within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Required Documentation and Submission Details

To update their status, affected importers must submit several key documents. These include a copy of their commercial registration, a copy of the goods arrival notice issued before July 24, 2025, a final invoice, and the bank domiciliation document, if available. The ministry has designated a specific email address for the submission of these documents: avis.revent@mcepe.gov.dz. It is crucial that all required documents are sent to this dedicated email address; submissions made through any other channel will not be considered. This streamlined process is designed to ensure that only authorized importers, meeting the necessary criteria, can participate in the resale of imported goods within Algeria.

The Ministry’s directives highlight the importance of timely compliance. Businesses should proactively submit the required documents to avoid delays or potential complications related to the import and sale of their goods.
