Standard Chartered Kenya Celebrates Women in Tech Cohort 8 Graduates
Standard Chartered Kenya has announced the successful graduation of Cohort 8 from its Women in Tech (WiT) Accelerator Programme, marking another year of empowering women entrepreneurs in the Kenyan technology sector. This initiative, executed in collaboration with @iBizAfrica – Strathmore University, awarded a total of approximately USD 70,543 (KES 9.1 million) in seed funding to seven women-led enterprises. The program specifically targets tech-driven solutions designed to address significant social and economic issues within Kenya.
Investing in Kenyan Women-Led Tech Enterprises
The Cohort 8 graduation ceremony, held in Nairobi on November 28, 2025, celebrated the achievements of the participating enterprises. Each of the seven winning businesses received USD 10,078 (KES 1.3 million) in seed capital. This financial infusion is a crucial element of the Women in Tech program, enabling participants to further develop and scale their innovative solutions. The WiT program, now in its eighth year, provides valuable tools, skills, and resources to support women entrepreneurs in the Kenyan technology landscape, fostering growth and innovation in the African tech ecosystem.
