Enerin Secures €15 Million to Revolutionize Industrial Heating

Norwegian cleantech company Enerin has successfully raised €15 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round. This significant investment will propel Enerin from a technology innovator to a manufacturer capable of large-scale production of its groundbreaking high-temperature heat pump systems. The funding round was spearheaded by Climentum Capital, The Footprint Firm, Johnson Controls, and Move Energy, signaling strong confidence in Enerin’s technology and its potential to disrupt the industrial heating sector.

# Scaling Up Production and Commercial Operations

Enerin plans to utilize the new capital to significantly expand its manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its commercial operations. A key focus will be accelerating the development of its next-generation high-temperature heat pump systems. This expansion is crucial as Enerin aims to address the pressing need for sustainable heating solutions in industries that heavily rely on fossil fuels.

The company highlights that industrial heat production is a major contributor to global CO₂ emissions, with nearly 20% stemming from factories using fossil-fuelled boilers. Traditional heat pump technologies often fall short in meeting the variable temperature demands of these industries. Enerin’s HoegTemp system is specifically designed to overcome these limitations, offering a modular and adaptable solution for high-temperature industrial heating needs. With this funding, Enerin is poised to play a pivotal role in decarbonizing the industrial sector by providing a viable and efficient alternative to fossil fuel-based heating.
