Pick n Pay Partners with Ticketpro to Sell Event Tickets in Stores Across South Africa
Pick n Pay, a leading South African retail giant, has joined forces with Ticketpro, an electronic ticketing provider, to offer customers a convenient way to purchase event tickets directly in-store. This strategic partnership broadens access to a vast array of events, enhancing customer convenience and solidifying Pick n Pay’s commitment to providing value-added services. The initiative capitalizes on existing retail infrastructure to make event attendance easier, particularly for consumers in underserved communities.
Enhancing Accessibility with In-Store Ticketing
This collaboration provides customers with a seamless ticketing experience. Ticketpro, a subsidiary of Blue Label Telecoms, handles over 10 million ticket sales annually for events spanning live music concerts, theatrical performances, sporting events, trade expos, and transportation services. The integration of Ticketpro’s technology into Pick n Pay’s extensive store network significantly increases ticket availability across the country. Customers can purchase tickets at the Money Counter or designated tills within the store without the need for additional apps or digital kiosks. The service is integrated directly into Pick n Pay’s point-of-sale (POS) system. A printed till slip acts as the official ticket, featuring a unique barcode for event entry. This feature is particularly impactful in areas where traditional ticket outlets may be limited.
This roll-out is part of Pick n Pay’s ongoing efforts to provide convenient value-added services.
