Tech4Dev Wraps Up Digital for All Challenge 2.0, Distributing ₦150 Million in Prizes
Tech4Dev, a prominent non-profit organization championing digital skill development across Africa, celebrated the successful culmination of the Digital for All Challenge 2.0 (DFA 2.0). This initiative, recognized as Africa’s largest digital skilling competition, made significant strides in reaching approximately one million Nigerians. The challenge encompassed various activities, including awareness campaigns, training programs, skill assessments, and the competition itself, fostering digital literacy and empowering individuals across the nation.
A National Initiative Fostering Digital Skills
The Digital for All Challenge 2.0, financially supported by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and executed in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), served as an incentivized national digital literacy and skills-building program. It was designed to provide Nigerians with essential knowledge and tools to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven environment. The DFA 2.0 campaign, spearheaded by Tech4Dev, aimed to drive digital literacy and skills acquisition. As a testament to its success, the competition distributed a substantial ₦150 million in prizes. Ismail Muhammad, who secured third place in the Youth Intermediate Category, exemplifies the impact of the program, as seen displaying his prize cheque at the Grand Finale.
