Huawei’s “R.I.S.E.” Architecture Aims to Accelerate National Government Cloud Adoption
Huawei has unveiled its “R.I.S.E.” National Government Cloud reference architecture at the recent 2025 Global Public Sector Cloud & AI Summit. This launch signals a push to accelerate the intelligent transformation of national governments through a centralized, efficient, and secure cloud foundation. The R.I.S.E. architecture seeks to address key challenges in public services by enabling data aggregation, processing, and value extraction.
Driving Intelligent Transformation in Public Services
Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and CEO of the Global Public Sector BU, emphasized the critical role of cloud and AI in building this robust foundation. The architecture is designed to support the intelligent transformation of government and public services, potentially offering a blueprint for other nations, including those in Africa, looking to modernize their public sector infrastructure. Shan Zhiguang, Director of the Informatization and Industry Development Dept. of the State Information Center, highlighted China’s ICT-driven transformation as a model for global smart governance. Representatives from organizations across the globe, including DPO (Hong Kong), CCK (Tunisia), Ankabut (UAE), and AIPMC (Huadu, Guangdong), also presented at the event.
The release of the R.I.S.E. architecture underscores Huawei’s commitment to driving innovation in the public sector through cloud and AI technologies. By providing a reference model for national government cloud deployments, Huawei aims to empower governments to deliver more efficient, secure, and intelligent services to their citizens.
