Madar Maritime Company Launches Inaugural Ferry Services Between Algeria and Spain
Algeria’s Madar Maritime Company (MMC), a subsidiary of Madar Holding, announced the commencement of its maritime transport services on Wednesday, September 17th. The first voyages are scheduled to begin on Friday, September 19th, marking a new chapter in maritime connections between Algeria and Spain.
# Regular Ferry Routes Established
MMC is initiating a regular passenger transport service connecting the Algerian ports of Algiers, Béjaïa, and Oran with the Spanish port of Alicante. The inaugural voyage will set sail from Alicante to Béjaïa. The vessel “Romantika,” chartered by Madar Maritime Company, is currently en route to Alicante to operate this first service, according to vessel tracking information available on Vessel Finder as of Thursday morning. The announced schedule includes: Alicante to Béjaïa, departing September 19th at 8:00 AM with an estimated arrival at 1:00 PM; and Algiers to Alicante, departing September 22nd at 10:00 PM, with an estimated arrival at 8:00 AM the following day.
This new maritime service promises to facilitate travel and strengthen economic ties between Algeria and Spain, offering a convenient alternative for passengers traveling between the two countries.
