Djezzy Launches Solidarity Campaign for Back-to-School Season
Djezzy, reaffirming its commitment to corporate social responsibility, kicked off the fourth edition of its national campaign to distribute school supply kits to children from underprivileged families on Thursday, September 18th. This extensive operation spans all 58 wilayas (provinces) of Algeria, with a specific focus on reaching isolated and underserved communities.
“Walk for School”: Supporting Algerian Students
Dubbed “Walk for School,” this solidarity initiative aims to provide crucial support to families in need just before the start of the academic year. As it has done in previous years, Djezzy intends to contribute to the national solidarity effort by assisting families facing financial challenges in preparing their children for school. The launch ceremony took place at Place du 1er Mai in Ghardaïa, in collaboration with the Algerian Muslim Scouts (SMA). The event was presided over by the Mouhafedh of the SMA in Ghardaïa, Commandant Kouzi Hadj Yakoub, alongside Mr. Saber Brihmouche, Director of the Southern Business Unit at Djezzy. The selection of Ghardaïa as the launch location reflects Djezzy’s responsiveness to customer feedback and underscores the company’s commitment to addressing the needs of communities across Algeria.
Through the “Walk for School” campaign, Djezzy is directly investing in the future of Algerian youth by ensuring that children from vulnerable backgrounds have the resources they need to succeed academically. This initiative highlights the vital role that technology companies can play in fostering social development and promoting equal opportunities within their communities.
