This announcement follows the official launch of the Emtel Cloud Platform in Mauritius on August 21st. The launch event was attended by key figures, including Mauritius’ Minister of Information and Communication Technologies, Honourable Dr. Avinash Ramtohul; NEC XON’s General Manager of Enterprise Technology Solutions for Africa, John Dewar; and Emtel’s CEO, Kresh Goomany. Goomany highlighted the platform’s significance for Mauritius’ ICT sector, emphasizing its role in reducing reliance on international connectivity and overseas cloud services by enabling local hosting. This shift promises improved resilience and performance for Mauritian organizations.
