The minister stated that MultiChoice Ghana now owes the NCA between GH¢150,000 and GH¢170,000 due to a GH¢10,000 daily fine imposed approximately two weeks prior. Furthermore, the Minister emphasized that the NCA intends to collect the owed funds. George also warned that DStv could face a shutdown and license revocation by September 6, 2025, if the company continues to disregard the regulations. The government’s stance is rooted in MultiChoice’s reluctance to adjust subscription fees despite prior discussions.
