InnovateNaija: Fueling Nigerian Innovation with ₦250 Million Challenge
Nigeria is poised for a significant leap in innovation thanks to InnovateNaija, a groundbreaking competition designed to ignite the creative potential of young Nigerians. Backed by presidential support, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Innovation Hub, and AfriLabs, this challenge aims to discover, nurture, and showcase transformative innovations in science, engineering, and manufacturing originating within the country. With a total prize pool of ₦250 million, InnovateNaija represents the largest innovation challenge in Nigeria to date.
# Empowering Young Innovators Across Nigeria
InnovateNaija is set to launch on September 4, 2025, at GITEX Nigeria on the 10x Stage at the Landmark Event Center in Lagos. The competition actively encourages participation from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Young Nigerians are invited to submit videos showcasing their most inventive creations and products. The three-month competition will unfold in two phases, initially identifying the top 37 submissions.
InnovateNaija is more than just a competition; it’s an investment in Nigeria’s future.
