Zoho is significantly expanding its Young Creators Program across East Africa, offering valuable opportunities to students and professionals keen on developing practical digital skills. This initiative centers on low-code application development, providing a user-friendly pathway for creating business applications without requiring extensive coding expertise. This is particularly relevant in the African tech landscape where demand for digital skills is rapidly growing.
Hands-on Training Across the Region
The program’s expansion included workshops in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Madagascar. These hands-on sessions provided over 150 participants with practical experience in designing and launching business apps using Zoho Creator. A key aspect of the program was its collaborative approach, partnering with local institutions in each country to ensure the training resonated with the unique contexts and needs of the participating communities. This localized approach is critical to ensuring the program’s long-term success and relevance in diverse African markets.
The initiative’s Regional Manager for Zoho East Africa, Veerakumar Natarajan, emphasized the program’s core aim: to equip individuals across East Africa with the essential tools and knowledge to thrive in the digital economy.
