Tunisian Telecoms Surge: Data Fuels Growth in Q3 2025
Tunisia’s telecommunications sector witnessed significant growth in the third quarter of 2025, driven primarily by the increasing demand for data services. According to the latest report from the national telecommunications regulator (Instance nationale des télécommunications), the sector’s revenue surpassed 1.075 billion dinars during this period, marking a 3.3 percent increase compared to the same quarter in 2024.
Data Dominates Revenue Streams
The regulator’s report highlights a significant shift in revenue structure, with internet connectivity now accounting for nearly 70% of telecoms spending. Mobile data generated 390.2 million dinars, while fixed data contributed 349.9 million dinars, collectively representing 69 percent of the sector’s total revenue. In contrast, mobile telephony accounted for 259.2 million dinars, and fixed telephony generated only 17 million dinars, demonstrating the growing dominance of data services in the Tunisian telecoms market. Among operators, Ooredoo led with 385 million dinars, followed by Tunisie Telecom with 314.8 million dinars and Orange Tunisie with 218.8 million dinars. Internet service providers are also seeing growth in the fixed data segment.
