BCN, Zadara, and Touchnet Join Forces to Launch Africa’s Pioneering Neutral AI Factory
Backbone Connectivity Network (BCN), a leading wholesale open access digital service provider, has partnered with Zadara and Touchnet to introduce Africa’s first Neutral Multi-Tenant AI Factory. This innovative platform, fueled by NVIDIA GPUs, aims to revolutionize the availability of AI infrastructure across the continent.
Empowering African Cloud Providers with Scalable AI
The newly launched platform addresses a significant challenge faced by cloud providers in Africa: the difficulty in affording the substantial infrastructure investments needed to build competitive AI clouds. Many providers struggle to justify these investments without guaranteed customer commitments, while potential customers are hesitant to commit before seeing functional AI cloud services. This creates a “chicken and egg” scenario. The Zadara-powered Neutral AI Factory, initially launching in Nigeria, tackles this issue head-on. It allows cloud providers to provision secure, scalable, and cost-effective AI-ready clouds to meet the growing demand for AI services without incurring massive upfront expenses. As one of the first NVIDIA design and integration partners to support multi-tenancy for high-performance, scalable infrastructure, this initiative represents a significant step forward in democratizing access to AI capabilities in Africa.
By removing the financial barriers to entry, the Neutral AI Factory will enable more African businesses and organizations to leverage the power of artificial intelligence, driving innovation and economic growth across various sectors.
