Xpress Payment Solutions Streamlines Tax Payments for FIRS Under TSA Framework

In a significant development for Nigeria’s financial technology sector, Xpress Payment Solutions Limited, a prominent fintech firm based in Ikeja, Lagos State, has been authorized as a Collecting Agent for the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). This designation falls under the Treasury Single Account (TSA) system, streamlining the process of tax payments for businesses and individuals across the nation. This move strengthens the existing digitization efforts within the African tax landscape.

Simplified Tax Remittances via Xpress Payments

This appointment empowers taxpayers who utilize the FIRS’s TaxPro Max platform to designate Xpress Payments as their preferred channel for fulfilling their financial obligations to the Federal Government via the TSA. Taxpayers responsible for statutory remittances like Company Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), and Withholding Tax (WHT), alongside other FIRS payments, can now easily opt for Xpress Payments while creating their Payment Reference Number (PRN) on TaxPro Max. Payments are seamlessly processed through the secure XpressPay online payment gateway. Alternatively, taxpayers have the option to pay in person at any bank branch using e-Cashier, Xpress Payments’ in-branch collection platform.

In response to this achievement, Mr. Wale Olayisade, the Acting Managing Director of Xpress Payment Solutions Limited, shared his thoughts on this exciting development.
