Consumer Protection: APOCE Launches Digital Platforms for Reporting and Evaluating Goods and Services
The Algerian Organization for Consumer Protection and Guidance and its Environment (APOCE) has unveiled two digital platforms aimed at bolstering consumer rights and improving communication between consumers and businesses. These platforms, launched on Tuesday, are designed to facilitate the reporting of complaints and enable the evaluation of goods and services, marking a significant step towards greater transparency and consumer empowerment in the Algerian market.
Key Features and Objectives of the New Platforms
The two platforms, named “Achki” and “Your Rating,” represent APOCE’s commitment to supporting Algeria’s national digitalization strategy. “Achki” will serve as a dedicated space for consumers to submit complaints and claims related to products and services. Simultaneously, “Your Rating” provides a channel for consumers to rate and evaluate their experiences, contributing to a more informed marketplace. The President of APOCE, Mustapha Zebdi, emphasized that these tools are intended to enhance interactions between consumers, economic operators, and regulatory bodies. The goal is to establish transparent channels for the efficient relay of consumer concerns and feedback, ultimately fostering a more responsible business environment within Algeria. This initiative aligns with the growing trend of African countries leveraging digital solutions to address consumer issues.
