# Expanding Reforestation Initiatives
Building on its prior efforts, Ooredoo initiated a reforestation project in 2023 covering 70 hectares in Bargou, an area significantly affected by forest fires. This action was lauded nationally as an exemplary CSR initiative. In 2024, Ooredoo extended its intervention to Béja with an additional 100-hectare project. In total, 100 hectares have been reforested between Bargou and Béja through this program. Looking ahead to 2025, the company announced plans to plant an additional 30 hectares in the Béja region, continuing its ongoing forest restoration efforts. This new wave of action is part of an awareness campaign launched for the occasion.
Ooredoo’s commitment to environmental sustainability is demonstrated through its continued investment in reforestation efforts. The “Tounes T3ich” program exemplifies the company’s dedication to restoring natural spaces and contributing to a greener future for Tunisia.
