Cisco has unveiled a suite of major advancements engineered to accelerate the deployment of secure and scalable artificial intelligence across diverse market segments. Through a strategic partnership with NVIDIA, the company is launching next-generation infrastructure solutions to power the increasingly complex demands of AI workloads. This initiative aims to provide a robust foundation for cloud providers, enterprise customers, and telecommunication operators, ensuring they can harness the full potential of AI securely and efficiently.
A Trifecta of AI-Powered Innovations
Leading the announcements is the Cisco N9100, the first data center switch developed by an NVIDIA partner built on NVIDIA’s Spectrum-X Ethernet switch silicon. This technology underpins Cisco’s new offerings across three key areas. For cloud service providers, Cisco is introducing an NVIDIA Cloud Partner-compliant reference architecture, specifically designed to support Neocloud and sovereign cloud deployments. For enterprise clients, the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA fortifies AI deployments with strengthened security protections and enhanced visibility through new observability integrations. Looking to the future of connectivity, Cisco, alongside NVIDIA and other partners, also revealed the industry’s first AI-native wireless stack, paving the way for the development of 6G networks.
These advancements arrive at a critical juncture for the tech industry. According to Jeetu Patel, President and Chief Product Officer at Cisco, “We’re at the beginning of the largest data center build-out in history.” He highlighted that the infrastructure required to power future agentic AI applications and innovations necessitates entirely new architectural designs. Cisco’s latest solutions are purpose-built to meet this challenge, providing the high-performance, secure, and scalable framework needed for the next era of technological progress.
