This year’s Zecathon boasts a substantial ₦70 million cash prize pool, designed to provide crucial funding for early-stage African startups.
# Zecathon 5.0: A Catalyst for African Tech Solutions
Set to be a highlight of the Zenith Tech Fair in November 2025, Zecathon 5.0 challenges startups to develop innovative tech solutions addressing critical challenges across various sectors in Africa. These sectors include, but are not limited to, payments, lending, education, healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, retail, and e-commerce. Zecathon has become a prominent platform for identifying and supporting promising startups since its inception. The competition is specifically tailored to assist startups in the product development or market testing phases, offering them a unique opportunity to secure funding, benefit from mentorship, and connect with potential investors and strategic corporate partners. The deadline for applications is October 31, 2025. Finalists will then have the chance to pitch their ideas live at the Zenith Tech Fair, competing for the grand prize of ₦30 million. Furthermore, four runners-up will each receive significant funding to further their ventures.
