Ghanaian fintech innovator, Oze, has secured a coveted spot on the 2025 Norrsken Impact 100, a prestigious annual listing recognizing high-potential, impact-focused startups worldwide. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the company, as it stands as the sole Ghanaian startup among the 100 chosen, and one of only 11 African companies to be included. This acknowledgement highlights Oze’s pioneering efforts and their impact within the African small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) financing sector.

Oze’s Impact on African SME Financing

The Norrsken Impact 100, a highly selective list compiled by the Norrsken Foundation with contributions from 50 prominent investors and partners, celebrates ventures addressing critical global challenges. Oze’s inclusion signifies its growing prominence in Africa’s SME financing landscape. The company is using AI-powered credit scoring and process automation to enable lenders to lend profitably to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). This innovative approach aims to unlock the crucial capital needed to foster the next generation of African businesses. According to Meghan McCormick, Oze’s Co-founder and CEO, “This recognition affirms both the scale of the problem we’re solving and the impact we’re making.”

Oze’s vision extends beyond simply providing financial solutions; they are working towards a goal of building 100 million profitable small businesses across the African continent. This ambitious objective underscores their commitment to driving economic development and empowering entrepreneurs across Africa.
