FRSC Unveils Contactless Driver’s License, Targets November for Backlog Elimination
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Nigeria has launched a transformative contactless biometric system nationwide, marking a significant stride in streamlining the driver’s license application process. Announced during the 2025 Ember Months Road Safety Campaign launch in Abuja, themed “Tech Responsibility for Your Safety: Stop Distracted Driving,” this initiative underscores the FRSC’s commitment to leveraging technology for public good. Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed highlighted that the FRSC’s newly upgraded printing facility is now equipped to produce an impressive 15,000 licenses daily.
