Techies4Impact & Narkwa Basic School: Bridging the Digital Divide in Ghana

Techies4impact, a technology-driven organization dedicated to empowering tech professionals and enthusiasts in Ghana, has announced a significant partnership. The organization will collaborate with Narkwa D/A Basic School in the Central Region of Ghana. This initiative, part of Techies4impact’s Impact Initiative programs, aims to improve digital education access for over 600 students. The partnership directly addresses the critical need to enhance digital literacy in underserved communities across Ghana, one community at a time.

Jazz & Bytes: A Fundraising Initiative

To fuel this vital mission, Techies4impact is hosting the Jazz & Bytes event. This innovative fundraising experience will combine live music, technological demonstrations, and community engagement. The primary goal of this event is to raise 100,000 GHC. These funds will be used to equip the school with essential technology, including laptops and projectors. This investment will provide students with the modern tools they need to succeed in the increasingly digital world. This is an example of how African tech organizations can leverage creative fundraising methods to achieve tangible community impact.

This partnership exemplifies a concrete step toward achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, it supports SDG 4, which focuses on Quality Education, and SDG 10, which promotes Reduced Inequalities. By providing digital literacy skills and technology access, Techies4impact is actively contributing to a more equitable and empowered future for Ghanaian students.
