Paystack Expands Payment Options in Ghana with “Pay with Bank Transfer”
Paystack, a leading African fintech company, has broadened its payment offerings in Ghana with the introduction of “Pay with Bank Transfer.” This innovative feature allows businesses to receive payments directly from their customers’ banking applications or through USSD codes. This new integration complements Paystack’s existing payment methods in Ghana, which include card payments, Mobile Money (MoMo), USSD, and Apple Pay, providing greater flexibility for merchants and customers alike.
Benefits of the New Bank Transfer Feature
This new functionality offers significant advantages for both Ghanaian businesses and their customers. It enhances flexibility and security, especially for larger transactions that might exceed the limits imposed on mobile money wallets. Furthermore, Paystack’s unified dashboard provides a centralized view of all payment types, streamlining the reconciliation process for merchants.
The “Pay with Bank Transfer” feature operates seamlessly. At checkout, customers simply select the “Pay with Bank Transfer” option. Paystack then generates a unique bank account number specifically for that individual transaction. The customer initiates the transfer using their banking app or USSD code. Upon successful transfer, the payment is instantly verified and reflected in the merchant’s Paystack dashboard. Notably, the pricing structure for “Pay with Bank Transfer” mirrors the existing fees associated with other Paystack payment channels. The feature is automatically enabled for all Paystack merchants operating in Ghana, and is immediately available for use.
