BevAgro’s model directly tackles the food loss problem. The company’s strategy involves deploying electric three-wheelers, light cargo vans, and e-bikes to connect farm clusters with wholesale markets and urban areas. This “Agri-to-City” mobility grid ensures that agricultural produce is transported efficiently and sustainably. A crucial element of this system is the solar-powered battery-swap hubs, which offer convenient and renewable energy options for the EVs. Furthermore, BevAgro offers pay-as-you-go financing, simplifying the adoption of EVs for those involved. The company’s COO, Ashaolu, explains, “We turn food losses into profits by powering farmers, traders, and delivery riders with EVs financed seamlessly through every battery swap.” BevAgro has already launched with over 150 EVs operating on Nigerian roads.
