Blademy Secures Funding to Expand Connected Health Solutions in West Africa

Blademy, a connected-health innovator, has secured additional funding via FasterCapital’s EquityPilot program. This backing will accelerate the rollout of its offline-capable, Bluetooth-connected health platform throughout West Africa, specifically targeting the critical care gaps in diabetes, hypertension, and gout management. This initiative will leverage technology, effective distribution strategies, and capital investment to improve healthcare accessibility.

Technology-Driven Healthcare for West Africa

Blademy’s approach centers around a bundle of essential medical devices, including Bluetooth-enabled glucometers, blood pressure monitors (tensiometers), and uric acid testers, all designed to be affordable. The platform also features a key focus on battery compatibility and an Android/iOS application that can synchronize patient data even without an internet connection. The app is designed to function offline, allowing seamless data export for clinician review and follow-up.

According to Arthur Yoffoua, CEO of Agence Digitale N’zassa, the parent company of Blademy, “Partnering with FasterCapital validates our approach to deliver affordable, offline-capable connected care where it’s needed most.” The funding will be strategically deployed to procure medical devices, finalize the mobile platform, and initiate pilot programs. These pilots aim to reduce complications and the associated healthcare costs for millions of people across West Africa.
