# Expanding the Écoles Numériques Program
The Écoles Numériques (Digital Schools) program, launched in 2014 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the National Center for Educational Technologies, is expanding its reach and impact on the Tunisian education system. The core objective of this program is to elevate academic performance, combat school dropout rates, and equip students with essential digital literacy skills. To date, the program has successfully equipped 185 primary schools nationwide, providing over 61,600 students and teachers with access to cutting-edge educational resources. These resources include tablets, laptops, projectors, engaging educational content, and robotics kits. The program’s success has also been recognized internationally through three “WikiChallenge” awards, celebrating the outstanding work of Tunisian students.
Fondation Orange Tunisie’s ongoing commitment to digital and inclusive education underscores its belief in the transformative power of technology to create a more equitable and prosperous future for all Tunisians. By providing access to essential digital tools and resources, the foundation is empowering the next generation to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
