All On Fuels E-Waste Revolution in Nigeria with $1.5 Million Investment in Hinckley E

Hinckley E-Waste Recycling Limited, a prominent e-waste recycling firm based in Nigeria, has received a significant boost with a US$1.5 million equity investment from All On, an impact investment company focused on expanding access to clean energy solutions within Nigeria. This financial backing marks a pivotal moment for Hinckley and the broader e-waste management landscape in the country.

Advancing Sustainable E-Waste Solutions in Nigeria

The strategic investment by All On will empower Hinckley to construct pioneering facilities for recycling and reusing Lithium-ion batteries and Used Lead Acid Batteries. These initiatives are first of their kind in Nigeria. This expansion directly addresses the growing global need for recycling solar batteries and tackle the pressing issue of environmentally responsible e-waste management. The move is particularly timely given the findings from the “Market Research on the Circular Economy of the Renewable Energy Sector in Nigeria,” a report also sponsored by All On. This research underscored the environmental and health hazards associated with the inappropriate disposal of solar components, such as lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries, and emphasized the critical role of commercially viable recycling programs in supporting a circular economy.
