The “O” Class vessel was officially christened Kota Odyssey by Her Excellency Ms. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, who served as the Lady Sponsor for the occasion. The ceremony was further elevated by the presence of key government officials, including Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Minister of Transport, and Hon. Their attendance signifies the strong governmental backing for sustainable maritime development and Ghana’s commitment to fostering environmentally friendly initiatives within its borders. The Vice President emphasized the importance of the event, stating that the ceremony “is a celebration of maritime innovation and a testament to Ghana’s growing stature in regional trade and logistics.”
