mPharma Appoints Kwesi Arhin as New CEO
Ghanaian healthtech company mPharma has announced the appointment of Kwesi Arhin as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025. Arhin succeeds Gregory Rockson, the co-founder who served as CEO for the past 12 years, marking a significant leadership transition for the rapidly growing company.
Arhin’s Journey to the Top
Kwesi Arhin’s ascension to CEO comes after four years within mPharma, during which he held key leadership roles. He initially joined in 2021 as the Global Head of Commercial, QRx, where he spearheaded the development and launch of mPharma’s franchise model across six African markets. Later that year, he was promoted to Vice President of Retail, West Africa, taking charge of business development, commercial budgeting, and performance management for the retail franchise business. This wealth of experience positions him well to lead mPharma into its next phase of growth. Gregory Rockson will transition to Chairman of the Board of Directors, ensuring a seamless and strategic handover. According to a LinkedIn post by mPharma, this change occurs at a pivotal moment for the company, allowing it to capitalize on opportunities to enhance its impact in the African healthcare landscape.
Arhin’s appointment signals a new chapter for mPharma, building on the strong foundation laid by its co-founder. His proven track record within the company suggests a commitment to expanding access to affordable and quality healthcare across the continent.
