CSC Teachers Across Nigeria Acquire Oracle APEX Skills at Oracle Codeweek 2021

Leading this charge, Oracle Academy and WiFiCombat Academy have partnered to empower the nation’s educators, reinforcing their shared vision of enhancing computer education globally. Their recent collaboration provided computer science (CSC) teachers and lecturers with crucial industry-relevant skills, ensuring that classroom instruction keeps pace with the demands of the modern tech world and preparing students for future success.
An Intensive Virtual Bootcamp for Educators
This commitment was demonstrated through the Oracle CodeWeek Nigeria 2021, a comprehensive 10-day Easter Bootcamp focused on upskilling CSC teachers. The training was delivered virtually via the Zoom platform, allowing for broad participation from educators across the country. To maximize accessibility and impact, the program was divided into two distinct five-day sessions. Batch A of the training took place on May 29th and 30th, and continued on June 5th, 6th, and 12th, 2021. Subsequently, Batch B was held for a separate group of educators on June 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th, concluding on July 3rd, 2021. Participants gained valuable hands-on experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX), a powerful low-code development platform for building scalable and secure enterprise applications.
By equipping teachers with sought-after skills in Oracle APEX, this initiative directly addresses the need for modern, practical knowledge in Nigeria’s computer science curriculum. The annual training event organized by Oracle Academy ensures that educators are not only aware of new technological advancements but are also proficient in using them.
