The Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies in Algeria is preparing to launch an online platform that will allow citizens to schedule appointments for conformity checks of imported vehicles. This initiative is designed to significantly simplify the process and improve public service delivery for vehicle owners.
Digital Solution to Address Congestion at Vehicle Inspection Centers
Ali Benikhlef, Advisor to the Minister of State, Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies, announced on September 11th to the APS news agency that the platform aims to eliminate long waiting times and provide a more efficient and transparent service. He further elaborated that the platform, featuring a user-friendly interface, will enable citizens to manage their appointments independently. The project initially targets the vehicle inspection center in Caroubier, Algiers, as a pilot program. This crucial first phase will allow for optimizing service quality before a gradual expansion to other centers throughout the country. This launch reflects the growing trend of digital transformation within African government services, aiming to modernize processes and enhance citizen experience.
