With applications opening on August 4th and closing on September 26th, 2025, this challenge presents a crucial opportunity for African FinTech innovators to accelerate their growth.
Unlocking FinTech Growth: The MEST Africa Challenge
The MAC 2025, developed in partnership with Absa, is designed to identify and nurture high-potential FinTech startups. This year’s focus highlights the crucial role of FinTech in transforming financial services across Africa, including how money is moved, managed, and insured. The application window will close on September 26th, leading to the selection of 20 semi-finalists and 10 grand finalists. The ultimate winner will receive a US $50,000 equity investment, alongside the chance to pilot their solution with strategic partners, offering unparalleled opportunities for scaling their business.
