My Decade of Investing in Entrepreneurs Culminates in 12th Angel Fair Africa in NYC

This September marks a significant milestone in my career: a decade dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, culminating in co-hosting the 12th Angel Fair Africa in New York City. The journey began years ago, fueled by a passion for fostering innovation and empowering founders from diverse backgrounds, specifically from underrepresented communities. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, leading me to where I am today.

From Google Programs to Angel Fair Africa

As Head of Startup Ecosystems at Google, I had the privilege of co-leading the company’s programs for founders from underrepresented communities and geographies. This role provided invaluable insights into the resourcefulness and tenacity of these entrepreneurs, particularly within the African context. I witnessed firsthand the groundbreaking ideas and determination of these founders. Now, I am excited to leverage this experience as a cohost for the upcoming 12th Angel Fair Africa, taking place on September 19, 2025, at the Google NYC office. The event is a platform where I can shine a global spotlight on the vibrant startup ecosystem in Africa.

It truly feels like a full-circle moment, transitioning from creating startup programs at Google to participating in an event specifically designed to support African investors and entrepreneurs. The opportunity to bring together my past experiences with my current endeavors, while contributing to the growth of the African tech landscape, is a privilege.
