He highlighted that AT Ghana is facing mounting financial challenges. The company has accumulated losses exceeding $10 million within the past eight months. The government believes that continuing to fund these losses using taxpayer money is unsustainable and detracts from vital public services. George emphasized that these funds could be reallocated to critical infrastructure projects, such as building and maintaining roads, schools, and other essential public services that directly benefit Ghanaians. Notably, the minister reassured the 300 permanent employees of AT Ghana that their jobs would be secure under the new merged entity.
