Ghana’s impressive score of 92.27% in the Global Cybersecurity Index has placed it among the top 46 countries worldwide and secured its position as the fifth-highest-ranked nation in Africa. This ranking, released by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), highlights Ghana’s progress in developing its cyber defenses. Speaking at the media launch of the 2025 Cybersecurity Awareness Month on September 3, 2025, Madjie emphasized the importance of sustained efforts to remain ahead of evolving cyber threats. He stressed the need for continuous investment in advanced infrastructure, skills development, fostering innovation, and strengthening public-private partnerships in cybersecurity.
