MTN Group has announced outstanding financial results for the first half of 2025, showcasing remarkable growth across its operations. The telecom giant reported a substantial 22.4% increase in service revenue, a significant achievement driven by strong performances in key African markets like Nigeria and Ghana. This positive performance, calculated in constant-currency terms, indicates MTN’s capacity to overcome economic challenges, including managing inflation and foreign exchange fluctuations in core operational territories. The strong results underscore the robustness of African telecom market and the resilience of its consumers.

Stellar Financial Performance and Future Outlook

The company’s financial performance was marked by a surge in headline earnings per share (HEPS), which climbed by over 350% to reach 645 cents. This impressive increase represents a significant recovery from a loss of 256 cents in the first half of 2024.
