In response to growing security concerns, Bolt Nigeria has unveiled a new dashcam service for its drivers across the country. The e-hailing platform is partnering with Driver Technologies, a specialist in dashcam and safety technology, to provide this innovative solution.
Enhanced Security at a Discounted Rate
This first-of-its-kind initiative integrates a dashcam feature directly into the Bolt driver app, effectively turning drivers’ smartphones into both forward-facing and interior-facing cameras. Video footage will be securely backed up to the cloud. Bolt is offering this service at a heavily subsidized rate of N4,810 per month, representing a 75% discount. According to General Manager Osi Oguah, this affordable option will empower drivers with the necessary tools to enhance their safety and create a more secure environment for both themselves and their passengers. The move signifies Bolt’s commitment to addressing the safety challenges faced by drivers in the Nigerian ride-hailing landscape.
