Transforming Africa’s Digital Future
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), representing the Federal Government of Nigeria, is hosting this year’s AfIGF at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. The central theme of the forum is “Transforming Africa’s Digital Landscape: Empowering Inclusion, Security, and Innovation.” The AfIGF will provide a crucial platform for discussions and collaborations among African nations. It aims to foster partnerships across various sectors and regional initiatives to improve digital connectivity, tackle challenges related to Internet governance, and ultimately drive Africa’s digital transformation forward. The Forum will commence with the African Youth Internet Governance Forum, preceding the main event from September 13th to 18th, 2023.
The 2023 AfIGF represents a significant opportunity for African countries to collectively shape the future of the internet and digital technologies on the continent, ensuring a secure, inclusive, and innovative digital landscape for all.
