President Mahama Commissions Cutting-Edge Air Navigation Services Center at KIA
On Monday, August 4, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama officially inaugurated the Air Navigation Services (ANS) Centre, alongside the Multi-Agency Command Center for Advanced Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) systems, at Kotoka International Airport (KIA). This significant development underscores Ghana’s ongoing efforts to modernize its aviation sector and bolster national security, signaling a commitment to leveraging technology to improve safety and efficiency within its airspace. Advancing Aviation Technology and Security Standards
The commissioning of this state-of-the-art infrastructure highlights the government’s dedication to transforming Ghana’s aviation sector. Their integration places Ghana among the growing number of countries complying with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2178 and Annex 9 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) frameworks.
