Admyt Expands its Reach: Ticketless Parking Pioneer Ventures into South African E-commerce
Admyt, a prominent South African company known for its ticketless parking solutions, is making a significant move into the e-commerce space. They have acquired SHôPING, an in-mall engagement platform developed by Attacq, the owner of the Mall of Africa. This strategic acquisition marks Admyt’s expansion beyond parking and into offering a comprehensive digital experience for shoppers, reinforcing its commitment to simplifying interactions within physical retail environments.
Mallpass: Redefining the In-Mall Experience
The acquired platform, originally launched at the Mall of Africa in 2021, will be rebranded as Mallpass. It already provides shoppers with convenient access to digital vouchers, in-mall navigation tools, loyalty programs, and real-time updates. Admyt plans to retain and enhance these existing features while introducing new capabilities as Mallpass is rolled out across various South African shopping malls. Kfir Rusin, Admyt’s CEO, sees this acquisition as a natural progression for the company. He emphasizes that Mallpass aims to streamline the entire shopping journey, from parking to purchase, offering benefits to landlords, retailers, and, of course, shoppers.
This signals a significant step for an African company in the evolving digital retail landscape.
The goal is to create a seamless retail journey.
