Techcircle, in partnership with SGGrow, SGVerse, and FreakOut Holdings, has announced the 12 promising startups selected to compete in the highly anticipated fifth edition of Pitch2Win. This prominent startup competition, specifically designed for African founders, is poised to provide a significant boost to innovative ventures within the continent’s burgeoning tech ecosystem. The event will take place in Lagos on July 30, 2025, offering a crucial platform for early-stage startups to gain valuable exposure and funding opportunities.

Spotlight on Innovation: Pitch2Win’s Impact

The upcoming Pitch2Win event will connect these 12 finalists with over 80 investors, representing a diverse range of markets, including Nigeria, Asia, and other global regions. The central objective is to facilitate meaningful connections between startups and potential funders. The most impressive pitch will be awarded a substantial $10,000 equity-free grant, providing critical seed funding for the winning startup’s development. According to Techcircle founder Oo Nwoye, “Pitch2Win is about spotlighting founders building for the future. We’re creating the right environment for them to connect with capital and people that can move their startups forward.” The competition has a strong track record of success, with past participants collectively raising over $50 million in funding, establishing Pitch2Win as a significant catalyst for African startup growth. Notable alumni include companies like Reliance Health, Curacel, Edves, Lendsqr, and Figorr. The success of past winners is evident; Regxta, the winner of Pitch2Win 4, secured nearly $400,000 in funding in the week following the event.
