Boeing and Alphavest Capital to Launch Five Aerospace Excellence Centers in Morocco

Morocco’s aerospace sector is set for a major expansion following a landmark agreement between aircraft manufacturer Boeing and Moroccan asset management firm Alphavest Capital. The two organizations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish five aerospace excellence centers across the country. Announced in Marrakech, this strategic partnership is designed to significantly enhance Morocco’s industrial capabilities and solidify its growing reputation as a key hub in the global aerospace supply chain. The collaboration aims to develop advanced logistics capabilities and specialized infrastructure, marking a pivotal moment for North Africa’s industrial development.

A Blueprint for Aerospace Specialization

Under the terms of the MoU, the five new centers will be highly specialized, targeting critical segments of the aerospace value chain. This focused approach ensures the development of deep, technical expertise within the Moroccan industrial ecosystem. The five designated areas of excellence are: engineering; tubes, ducts, hoses, and fittings; complex mechanical parts and sheet metal activities; secondary structures with a particular emphasis on composite parts; and the processing and distribution of metal and raw materials. This comprehensive strategy will create a vertically integrated network of skills and services, from raw material handling to the production of sophisticated aircraft components, strengthening the country’s end-to-end manufacturing capacity.

The significance of this collaboration was highlighted by Majid Benmlih, the President and CEO of Alphavest Capital. He described the partnership as a “historic agreement” that heralds Morocco’s definitive arrival on the global aerospace scene. This initiative not only confirms the Kingdom’s established position as an aerospace leader in the region but also represents a powerful endorsement of its industrial strategy and skilled workforce. By partnering with a global giant like Boeing, Morocco is poised to capture a greater share of the international aerospace market and advance its economic diversification goals.
