CSA Launches “Safer Digital Ghana” Campaign to Boost Online Safety
Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has launched the “Safer Digital Ghana” campaign, a nationwide initiative focused on promoting responsible digital citizenship and enhancing online safety for all Ghanaians. The campaign, officially launched on July 16, 2025, aims to equip citizens with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the digital landscape safely and securely.
Addressing Growing Cyber Threats
The “Safer Digital Ghana” campaign is a strategic response to increasing concerns surrounding cyber threats in Ghana. These threats include cyberbullying, identity theft, the spread of misinformation, and various forms of online fraud. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the CSA designed the campaign as an awareness drive to empower individuals and communities to protect themselves online. Acting Director-General of the CSA, Divine Selase Agbeti, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in combating cyber risks, stating that cybersecurity is not just the responsibility of institutions but requires the active participation of every Ghanaian.
The “Safer Digital Ghana” campaign represents a significant step towards creating a more secure digital environment for all Ghanaians. By educating the public on common threats and promoting responsible online behavior, the CSA aims to foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and resilience throughout the nation.
