intoPIX & Arkona Partner on New Video IP technology

intoPIX and arkona Technologies Partner to Revolutionize IP Video with New Technology

intoPIX, a leading provider of low-latency, lightweight image compression solutions, has partnered with arkona technologies, a prominent provider of IP core infrastructure for broadcast production. This collaboration marks a significant advancement in JPEG XS deployment with the launch of arkona’s new JXS16 application for the BLADE//runner AT300 platform.

Doubling Density with JPEG XS Technology

Leveraging intoPIX’s JPEG XS technology, the new JXS16 application significantly boosts performance, offering an impressive 16 UHD channels of JPEG XS encoding or decoding per AT300 card. This effectively doubles the density compared to the previous generation. Broadcasters gain enhanced flexibility with the ability to configure the application for 16x encoding, 16x decoding, or a combination of 8x encoding and 8x decoding. This configuration provides the highest UHD JPEG XS density available on the market.

This solution is fully compliant with the SMPTE ST 2110-22 standard. Its ultra-low latency, visually lossless quality, and efficient bandwidth utilization are ideal for facilitating seamless IP transport.
