Why White Families Teach Racism to Their Kids?

Because racism makes their kids life better.

We have to understand White people! There is a fairly dramatic dilemma for the majority of white people when it comes to fighting racism.

Simply because in the world we live now all white people benefit from racism, and the caste system behind racism is profitable, and quite comfortable for them.

If you are white, you are better treated
If you are white, you get better job, and much faster
If you are white, you travel the world without visa and you are treated better
If you are white, Police won’t harass you or kill you on sight
If you are white, you are looked up as a model even if you have not achieved anything!
If you are white, you are feared and people are forced to smile at you
If you are white, you have a lot of privileges denied to other people from housing to access to capital
if you are white, you really don’t understand why people don’t get what you get so easily!

Who won’t like to enjoy such kind of privileges as a birth right? Why would white people be forced fight to change something that is profitable to them?

In fact, without the pervasive racism in society and the world, they’d lose most of the automatic privileges now associated to their skin color, and more dramatically they would have to compete with 6 billions people on equal basis. Very scary! Not something quite comfortable! Therefore most of white people are not ready for the end of racial caste system current in the world.

I’d say, it’d be easier to ask a billionaire to give up his money to charity than to ask most white people to give up on racism and the  ideology behind it.

For a matter of comparison, asking white people to fight racism would be equal to asking men to fight patriarchy.

There are a lot of men who are ready to fight for human rights, but would shy away from fighting patriarchy and the many privileges all men automatically enjoy just because they are born with a dick in a patriarchal society.

Why would men fight to end patriarchy if it would mean for them to clean, wash and contribute to house works like women; be compelled to do more  to get what they want, and more dramatically to compete with more people for the privileges they now enjoy from birth.

Like the legendary investor Warren Buffett put it “one of the reasons for my great success was that I was competing with only half of the population. I mean, my sisters are as smart or smarter than I am, and my parents loved them with the same degree of intensity that they loved me, but they had different expectations about them, their teachers had different expectations about them. And just think of the waste that occurred you know for decades and decades and decades.”

Most men instinctively know, recognize, and use the privileges associated with the mere fact of being born a male. They enjoy, profit and love the advantages associated with the caste system patriarchy had forged for centuries which downgrades woman, and award free bonuses to men life long.

Racism is for white people, what patriarchy is for men. Most white people won’t fight against racism, for the same reason most men won’t fight against patriarchy.

Racism is evil but it’s profitable to them, and most people care more about their interests than some human rights.

To survive and prosper, racism is taught by white families to their kids. No one is born racist, kids which become later adults learn the racist ideas and reflex from their families, relatives, and friends who happen to have parents too.

Why don’t we dress and speak like people in the 19th century or 18th century? Because our parents were not dressing or speaking like our fore grandparents.

Racism is an anti-meritocracy system!

For my fellow Africans, please listen to me. Racism is not your problem. You can’t fight it.
Get out of all the movement or association which fight against racism.
Only white people could fight racism.
If they’d stop teaching it their kids, and quit sponsoring it, racism would disappear.

Albert Einstein teaching a physics class at Lincoln University (HBCU in Pennsylvania) in 1946 said: “The separation of the races is not a disease of colored people. It is a disease of white people. I do not intend to be quiet about it.”

When the Black opera singer Marian Anderson was performing in New Haven and denied a hotel room Einstein invited her to stay at his home.

If you have white friends who refuse to talk about racism, or deny it, they are definitely NOT your friends, because they know well racism is pervasive in their community and wide-spread. The truth here would be that your friends are not ready to give up the privileges they enjoy from racism in society.

We have to understand white people, but it’s our rights to deny them the privileges that racism automatically awards them, and make firmly them understand we are all equal for a better world!

No, whites will never fight racism. First they need to realize what they have, is because of crimes they committed, repent, and pay us what they owe us, which will never happen. Secondly, when the Europeans came out of Europe, heading to Africa to survive their middle ages, in which they were poor as hell, they were looking to survive, when they got to Afuraka, and saw what we had, they felt they had struck a gold mind, and they did, and that is why they fougth hell and high water to take what we had, including the people, they did not want only the resources, they saw that they could benefit from our people's bodies (free labor )as well. At this point and time, the Europeans see what they have accomplished, and live mighty fine, it is no way in hell they are going to give it up. Another big problem, they do not see Afurakan people, and no people of color, equal to them Now go figure. I believe white people cannot change, when they went around the world and saw all the other people of the world were people of color, that observation, did something to their minds, and so they told themselves all these folks are inferior to us, and we are going to take their s… and we are going to rule them, come hell, come may. It is more to it than that, but that is about as simple as I can put it.

As for whites seeing us as equal, I don't give a damn if they don't, even if they saw us all as equal, they still only wsih to see us with just the crumbs, they are not going to distribute the jobs fairly, even the ones the government control, there are not enough jobs for them, they cannot be fair with jobs. The prison system created millions of jobs for them, and a whole lot of other jobs blacks create for them, and you are talking see us as equal. All I want from them is pay us what they owe us, get out of Afuraka, and stop hendering us from progressing with their weapons, and our money, leave us the hell alone, and stop killing our black men. Case and point, there are many whites who claim to be liberals, and say things like we are all humans, there is no such thing as race, but they are not going be equal, it cannot happen, it will not work for them.

I believe black people can't just wait white people stop teaching racism to their kids. It is something even deeper than teaching, the racist culture is part of their mind structure, and in the most of cases, it is unwillingly teached. If someone can't even recognize the mistake he's doing, I ask how could he stop doing that mistake. That's why it seems so impossible to eradicate racist culture only by white people. Because most of white people is racist and they didn't know. Racism can be fought even with knowledge, poltics, economic growth. And after what's going on down in Ferguson, Mo, I believe it is impossible to leave race issues to white people, because they don't know how to deal with it.
Racist need a mirror to see how they truly are, they need to see their ignorance and undignity reflected in someone else's eyes. Let everyone be this mirror.

    Well, I’m a monumental hypocrite.

I’m white, I’m male, and when I speak, sound very much like an upper-middle-class brit. All three of these characteristics benefit me in innumerable ways, from my career to my interactions with institutions and authorities. I’ve taken advantage of these biases and this racism my whole life, even as I decry them for wasteful foolishness and for the evil that they are.

I guess I could (or should) throw everything away in a symbolic act of self-destruction, but I don’t think that would achieve anything at all, even if I were willing to do it. (I’m not). Likewise, I could (or should) be ransacked by guilt for the multitude of evils perpetrated by my race (and more broadly, by the species as a whole) …. but I’m not going to do that, either.

In fact, I’m going to continue to act in my own interests, and in the interests of my Children.

My children are neither white nor male, and we are teaching them to navigate in a world where the odds will be rather more stacked against them than they were against me. They’ll have to be more emotionally resilient than I am capable of being. They’ll have to be smarter, more aggressive, and work harder to achieve anything like the successes that I have had.

I can help them to access some of the privilege that I have benefited from by teaching them middle-class mannerisms and speech (something that is ludicrously effective here in the UK). I can also help them to learn all the little bits of knowledge and culture that serve as keys to the places of privilege and learning, to direct them in their’ reading and learning.

In so doing, I’ll necessarily be teaching them to be elitist and biased, which is ugly enough in itself, but at least we can slowly decouple that bias from the historic anchors of race and sex.

Over time, I hope we can move to a world that sees beneath people’s skin … to understand their potential without reference to the way that they look. Perhaps our new “data driven” and “socially-networked” society will help us to do this? To provide us with a more in-depth profile of the stranger on the street than can be provided by a superficial glance alone? Well, I can hope … but I am rather too world-weary to believe.

Wrong forum? I’m sorry but, sense I do not generally accept the premise of the question, I have to debunk it in a broader sense. Because, anyone would be a fool to presume, then say that Race ‘A,’ “teaches their children to be racist’s,” or that, Race ‘A’ “does not teach their children to be racist’s.” We do not know what each individual family is teaching their children behind the closed doors of their homes. We can assume that Race ‘A’ “has some parents who teach their children to be racist’s.” That is a fair statement. But, it must also be said for Race, ‘B-C-D-E-F-G, etc.. . We are human beings first, and even though we are unable to statistically show the exact number’s, we are able to deduce that a portion of races A thru Z each contains “parents who teach their children to be racist’s.”

Ugh – It's disturbing how often I read about white people being evil, racist, etc….

If I dared to write an article about any other race, or in an attempt to defend my own, I would be classified as ignorant / racist / bigoted / etc.

All of this unhappiness comes from people who have become suddenly aware of who they are, in a world where the economic system, institutions of higher education, societal philosophies, the written word, manned flight, landing on the moon, etc.., etc., all happened as they still passed down history by word of mouth. There are always going to be people who are left behind, then there are the one's who lead the way, we are born into our skin we did not get to choose it. I cannot help it that people who look like me figured out things in the various mental disciplines before people of a different skin, it is not my problem. The one who figures things out first is going to have an advantage and that advantage expands across every aspect of life, then their children benefit from the education their parents give them, and like all human life cycles as biology teaches us, it perpetuates itself. I owe nothing to anyone, I was born into my circumstances the same as the next guy. That said, I do find it a responsible and good thing to do, to remain charitable & giving, and try to give the next generation a hand up.. // But, let me say; in the end it is not going to matter if two things do not occur in this Century, and they are; the end of fossil fuel production and ignition, along with a world population management scheme, the Chinese are right about population. These people and their religion that makes them believe that it's a good thing to have 4 or 5 kids, or more 10 or 15 of them is going to overtake our planet's ability to feed and clothe them.. We have to find a new way to live, and sustain our economies.

Oh George, (shaking head), You really have been brainwashed by the white system. You don’t know history very much do ya?? Hur? Oh, u probably do, the twisted version where many many inventions came from black people; but was written out of history. You don’t know anything about slavery, that is obvious unless of course, you are indifferent to it and the oppression is still happening. You don’t sound very intelligent dude.No offense, but had to be said. Have a nice day.

There was no racism taught in my parents home, we were taught to respect everyone and to not to use pejorative terms that denigrate an entire race..

Is it not a fact that until more recently Africa was agrarian, with fields worked by intensive labor? Automated machinery has not been a traditional part of the African means of production, all of these methods have come from the west.. I cannot be argued with. That being said, I have no doubt that had the west not invented these methods of production and technology, that each culture would have figured automated methods of one kind or another for themselves.. My point is simply that western Europe has developed advanced organizing principles of Government, followed by production first, or faster globally than other cultures, all as a matter of necessity of circumstance rather than some natural superiority that some may read into my words. They have simply developed faster along our current continuum of discovery then implementation. That is an advantage mostly in the area of experience individually, then culturally with exposure to advanced education, then use of technology.. These are definite advantages, but they certainly are not racial from the standpoint of Race A is smarter or better, than Race B. Blacks, who have come up in the west, and who have attained the educational, cultural indoctrination of the west have been every bit as successful as their counterpart whites in the area of business, science & discovery. Africa, is building and developing similar Universities, in an effort to become a technologically advanced nation, and I feel this in the century that Africa steps up to provide important scientific, business, and intellectual solutions to the world.. Again, I think we all come along at different times based on need, Africa is in great need at this time and is churning internally, development is occurring, education is afoot throughout Africa.

George Blackmore I agree with everything you said, except that one race figure out things first. It's a myth.
the only thing maybe the race you are talking about figured out better and applied better is: systemic VIOLENCE on other people and nation to deny them their rights and steal their resources!

George Blackmore that's just being well educated 🙂 to repeat Mr. Koutunin simile, one thing is to teach not to harass women just because they're phisically weaker, another thing is to teach kids women has the right to have, for example, the same wage or the same access to education. Can you spot the difference?

Thanks for posting such a thought-provoking piece. As a white male I agree with your main point and recognise that I always have and continue to benefit in inumerable ways from structures of racism and patriarchy. My identity nor my interests are confined to my self-interests however, and I think there exists a practical basis for cooperation to overcome all structures of (dis)advantage. I am working class and have people in my life that I love who are neither white nor male. I believe that I have an obligation and share a material and moral interest in combining with other people to overcome all structures of (dis)advantage including race, class and gender.

This is more like the way of thinking that can lead us out of the quagmire. Recognising the evils and feeling remorse serve as motivation for forgiveness and banding together to confront the problem together. You cannot continue to show disdain, make your children look and act in reflections of what they taught at home and expect that, in a world of today, people are not going to feel very bad. The race being accused have obligations to create voices and groups to stand against any injustice being perpetuated anywhere on this planet. This way we can work together to end this.

I will never blame a white person for being Racist. I blame the other races for not knowing how to be RACIST and practice it. In Britain I grew up with hearing Wogs, Coons, Nigger, Coloured, Black bastards, Monkey, Tar baby and all those different titles were labels that whites jolly themselves in. Are they really intelligent people? ask LUCY for their African seeking want to be ancestry. Americans murdered, AUSTRALIANS murdered, AFRICANS STOLEN and are still murdered both in and out of slavery New Zealanders murdered and so it went on through out the world for these so called established states that today talk about terror and their respectability. ISIS in america Blacks face it every day Inter State Intimidation Slaughter of unarmed Black people. So What? If it is good for the whites and they live a better life style by being white, do not look to reinvent the wheel Do Exactly to them what they do to you Especially when they are visiting your country so that they feel the true impact of their ways. China is the power now!!!
