The battle to control Africa future

The battle for control of Africa future is in full swing.

One of the top field of contest is the control of our legal system. It’s called legal warfare.

The Europeans are currently investing a lot of money into the African Justice systems. They finance the construction of courts, reconstruction of old justice buildings, and invest in formatting and editing the textbooks of our civil, criminal and commercial laws.

Commercial laws text books like the Ohada textbooks are financed by France to create framework favorable to their interests. The customs and investment regulations are also under the prescription of donors.

The reasoning is simple. If you have the judges and laws on your side, you can easily get away with whatever you want.

The Chinese felt the pressure and like always staged a bigger coup.

The Chinese decided instead to invest in the construction of African Parliaments. All over the continent, all African legislative bodies building are built by Chinese for free, including the African Union building in Addis Abebas in Ethiopia.

The Chinese reasoning is simple. Parliaments seat above the courts and executive power. They make the laws. You control the Parliament, you can influence them to change any law that is unfavorable to you or push for favorable ones.

Of course, the Europeans and Chinese are offering those buildings, training, scholarship, fees, edition for free.

Free is the drug that is killing Africa future.
